My top 5 must listen to this week are:

1. Can’t Hurt Me – David Goggins – This book serves as daily motivation and a tool to exercising mental toughness. David Goggins is a retired Navy SEAL. He is the only member of the U.S. Armed Forces to complete SEAL school with two “Hell Weeks”, the U.S. Army Ranger School, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller training.

The book is about taking control of your life, clearing the limiting beliefs that hold an individual back, and maximizing life potential on a day to day basis through mental toughness.

My favorite quote from David Goggins is “There is no finish line in life.”

2. Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents – Lindsay C. Gibson – One day I called up my older brother and asked him, “When did you stop feeling like a little boy and start feeling like a man inside, emotionally?” He said, he still felt like that little boy inside often and chooses to behave civilly and as a society would expect an adult to act.

The book on emotionally immature parents by Lindsay C. Gibson has helped me navigate difficult and traumatic experiences that stumped my emotional growth. She offers practical exercises in the book that allowed me to address reasons why I would behave in ways that were not ideal or working to my advantage.

3. The Art of War – Sun Tzu – This semester at Berkeley College, the Business Strategy & Policy professor has “The Art of War” on our reading list. I had previously read the book years ago, and wanted to refresh the ideas and wisdom held within to see correlations within business strategy.

Frequently I’ve seen questions around the internet that I will provide answers or solutions for below:

  1. “How do I buy a book on audible?”

To buy a book on audible, I would suggest utilizing the Audible free trial using your account.
Go to the Audible Free Trial page.
    Click Start your free trial.
Follow the instructions on-screen when prompted.

  2. “How to purchase audible books?”

Amazon partnered with Audible Books back in 2008 and since becoming a subsidiary and the sole supplier of digital audiobooks for Amazon, online shoppers can purchase audible books via an Amazon Prime Membership or an Audible Membership.

With Audible, you can purchase a digital audiobook and listen to it on a compatible Fire tablet, Kindle e-reader, Kindle reading app, or Audible app.

Audible audiobooks are currently compatible with:
    Alexa Devices
Kindle for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch
    Kindle for Android
    Kindle for Samsung
    Kindle Oasis (9th Generation)
    Kindle Oasis (8th Generation)
    Kindle (8th Generation)
    Kindle Touch (4th Generation)
    Kindle Keyboard (3rd Generation)
    Kindle DX (2nd Generation)
    Kindle (2nd Generation)
    Kindle (1st Generation)

Audible software for PC and Mac

  3. “How much is Audible?”

Gold Monthly $14.95 per month 1 per month
Platinum Monthly $22.95 per month 2 per month
Gold Annual $149.50 per year 12 per year
Platinum Annual $229.50 per year 24 per year

I am currently a Gold Monthly Audible Member, which means that every month I receive three credits that can be traded for any audiobook. The membership also comes with two Audible Originals.
And what I love and utilize most being an audible member is the ability to roll over a limited number of unused credits which gives me leeway when I am behind on wrapping up a book.
