From Marine Corps Grit to Pain-Free Movement: My Story

How discipline, passion, and real healing created the #RunPainFree framework.

Hey, I’m Daniyel Bingham. I help athletes, runners, and everyday people overcome pain, fix injuries, and get back to living their best, active lives. But before all that, I was a Marine, a personal trainer, and someone searching for more. My journey wasn’t a straight path, but it’s what led me to create lasting solutions for people who want to move freely and live pain-free. Let me take you through how it all came together.

Right after high school, I enlisted in the Marine Corps. Six years of service, including combat, taught me discipline, resilience, and how to push through discomfort. But after the Marines, I pivoted and pursued another passion: fitness. I became a personal trainer and had the opportunity to be featured in Beachbody’s Insanity the Asylum with Shaun T. That experience pushed me further into the world of biomechanics and injury correction.

While fitness was a huge part of my life, music was always in the background. I grew up in a musical family—my dad played the organ at church, and I took piano lessons as a kid. DJing in high school was just an extension of that love. But where music gave me creativity, business was something I learned from my mother. She worked a 9-5 but also ran her own fashion business. I was with her every step of the way—running flea market tables, handling the register at her store, and learning what it takes to build something from the ground up. That hustle is ingrained in me.

Through these experiences, I came to believe in the power of mastery. Whether it’s fitness, business, or injury correction, I’m all about focusing, digging deep, and exploring every angle to become the best at what I do. Every hour invested in mastering a craft is a step toward shaping the future.

That’s where self-actualization comes in. I learned about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs in college, and the concept of self-actualization hit me hard. It’s the idea of constantly growing, learning, and becoming the best version of yourself. I watched my father’s physical body wear down from labor, but I saw that as a knowledge worker, I could keep growing for years to come. My purpose became clear: to serve others while constantly bettering myself.

The turning point in my journey came when I met Jessica Leggio at Equinox on 43rd Street in Manhattan. We were both personal trainers and licensed functional movement specialists. When Jessica was hit by a truck and couldn’t find answers from doctors, she asked me for help. Together, we created the #RunPainFree framework, which healed her and has since helped thousands of others fix injuries and live pain-free.

Now, it’s your turn. If pain or injury is holding you back, I’m here to help. The #RunPainFree program is designed to get to the root of your pain, so you can get back to what you love. Thousands have already experienced life-changing results. Why not you?

Let’s fix that pain together and get you back on track.
